LNFS Receives Minii Fire Trucks, Ambulance

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) has received a shipment of fire and emergency response vehicles, significantly boosting the country’s firefighting capacity. The first batch of logistics, which arrived on Saturday, February 7, 2025, includes eight fire trucks, an ambulance, and a bus for employees.

According to sources within the LNFS, the equipment acquisition was made possible through collaborative efforts between the previous Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) administration and the current Unity Party-led government. The arrangement emphasizes continuing efforts to improve emergency response capabilities in Liberia.

Authorities at the LNFS are expected to provide further details upon the arrival of the vehicles, addressing the significance of the new equipment and outlining plans for deployment. The additional resources are anticipated to strengthen fire prevention and emergency response operations, particularly in areas that have long struggled with inadequate firefighting infrastructure.

Procuring these vehicles is critical as Liberia continues to face fire outbreaks in urban and rural areas. The arrival of the fire trucks and emergency vehicles is expected to enhance the LNFS’s ability to respond swiftly to incidents, potentially reducing casualties and property damage.
