Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has made new appointments to various government positions, affecting Grand Bassa and Montserrado counties as well as the Monrovia City Council.
The recent appointments for Grand Bassa and Montserrado counties include Mr. Karyou Johnson as Superintendent for Grand Bassa County, Madam Bendu Williams as Commissioner for Royesville Township, Mr. Joe Miller as District Superintendent for Careysburg District, Mr. Jonathan S. Yorfee as Commissioner for Tolberta Township, and Madam Arzata G. Flomo as Commissioner for Tubmanville Township.
On the Monrovia City Council, President Boakai appointed Madam MacDella Cooper, Benjamin O. SolSolanke, Dr. Adam Kyne, Madam Fatima Bintu Sirleaf, Madam Hesta Baker Pearson, Amara Kamara, and Ismael Barry as new members.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate, as outlined by the President’s office.
In a statement, President Boakai urged all appointed officials to exhibit diligence, professionalism, integrity, and loyalty in their service to the country.
