NPA Managing Director Dedicates First-Ever Ambulance, Tours Upgraded Port Clinic

Monrovia, Liberia–In an effort to improve employee welfare and community healthcare, the Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Hon. Sekou Dukuly, has dedicated the Port of Monrovia’s first-ever ambulance and toured a newly refurbished clinic set to serve both NPA workers and the surrounding port community.

The dedication was made during a brief but symbolic ceremony held at the Port on Saturday, where Director Dukuly emphasized his commitment to employee well-being and responsive emergency care.

“This is more than just an ambulance; it is a signal of our renewed commitment to health, safety, and the dignity of our workforce and neighbors,” he said.

The newly launched ambulance service will provide 24-hour emergency response capacity at the port, a first in the institution’s history.

The initiative is expected to reduce emergency response time and ensure rapid access to critical medical attention for port workers and residents in nearby communities.

Following the dedication, MD Dukuly toured the upgraded Port Clinic, which has undergone a major facelift with improved facilities, new medical equipment, and expanded services.

The clinic is now better positioned to handle basic medical care, occupational health needs, and minor emergencies.

NPA staff and health workers applauded the initiative, noting that access to reliable healthcare services within the port premises had long been a critical need.
