Deputy Public Works Minister Inspects Greenville to Buchanan Road Corridor as Part of Southeastern Tour

SOUTHEAST LIBERIA — In an ongoing effort to enhance road infrastructure in the southeastern region of Liberia, Deputy Public Works Minister Prince Tambah, accompanied by a team of engineers, conducted an inspection of the Greenville to Buchanan Road Corridor today. The inspection was part of the Southeastern Tour aimed at stabilizing major roadways ahead of the anticipated heavy rainfall this year.

Joining Deputy Minister Tambah were Assistant Ministers for Operations and Technical Services, Margaret Sarsih and John Zogar, respectively. They assessed the approximately 200-kilometer corridor, noting that most sections are pliable with critical spots adequately maintained or rehabilitated. Key areas highlighted during the inspection include Welcome to ITI, Palm Butter Hill, and One House, among others.

Deputy Minister Tambah emphasized the importance of these inspections, stating that they are crucial for ensuring the durability and safety of the road corridors across the country as the rainy season approaches.

In addition to the corridor inspection, the team visited several ongoing construction projects, including the new Samuel A. Ross Greenville Port Bridge, the J. J. Jones Bridge in the Seebeh Community, and the Gharbo Town to Sanquin Road.

These structural developments are being executed by the Ministry’s Bridge Unit, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving transportation infrastructure in the region.
