Morlu Applauds Liberians Following “Enough is Enough”

Monrovia, Liberia – In the aftermath of today’s impactful “Enough is Enough” protest in Monrovia, Mulbah K. Morlu Jr., the lead organizer of the event, shared a powerful message reflecting on the gathering’s significance and the ongoing struggle for justice in Liberia.

“Thank you to the courageous citizens of our beloved Liberia who stood up today for justice, the rule of law, and real change. You made history—and you did so peacefully and with dignity. Your voices echoed across the nation. This is only the beginning. The fight for a better Liberia has just begun,” Morlu expressed.

Morlu, through his official Facebook handle, extended his gratitude to the dedicated team, both domestically and in the diaspora, whose unwavering commitment contributed to the success of the protest. “Thanks to our courageous and patriotic team—both at home and in the diaspora—whose tireless commitment made this moment possible. To our vocal and silent supporters alike, we say thank you. The struggle for real change has only just begun—and it is achievable,” he added.

Morlu emphasized the urgency of the moment, calling on President Boakai to respond to the people’s demands. “President Boakai now has 14 days to acknowledge and begin implementing the people’s demands. Failure to do so will trigger a second, nationwide protest—far stronger, louder, and with even tougher demands. The people will not be silenced nor ignored,” he warned.

Concluding his statement, Morlu noted the significant impact of the protest across the capital, stating, “But thank you; the entire Monrovia was truly locked down today.”

With this statement, Morlu reinforced the resolve of the citizens in their quest for reform and accountability in Liberia, hinting at the potential for escalated action should their demands remain unmet. The movement for change continues to gain momentum, urging government leaders to heed the voices of the people.
