Former Student Turned Inspirational Speaker

The Bweh Kaetae Academy School System witnessed a powerful homecoming as Abraham Dellah Wala, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Abraham Dellah Wala Educational Foundation, returned to his alma mater as guest speaker for its 4th graduation exercises.

Once a student of the institution, Mr. Wala stood proudly before the graduating classes, delivering a spirited and heartfelt message that echoed with hope, purpose, and a deep commitment to education.

“Today, I want to tell you a beautiful secret,” Wala began, addressing the young graduates with passion. “That secret is learning – and learning is a treasure for eternity!”

In his address, Wala reflected on his own educational journey that began at Bweh Kaetae Academy in District #15, Montserrado County sharing how his experiences there shaped his lifelong passion for education. He recounted his first speech at the institution in 1999 as a kindergarten graduate, where he urged the community not to overlook the importance of early education. That message, he said, became the foundation of a dream to transform education in Liberia.

“The journey of learning is a treasure for eternity,” Wala emphasized. “Kindergarten, elementary, and junior high are not just stages – they are the launching pad toward universities, careers, and lifelong ambitions.”

Wala encouraged the students to embrace curiosity, resilience, and faith in both God and themselves as they navigate the challenges ahead. He also paid tribute to parents and guardians, calling them “the wings beneath these children’s dreams,” and emphasized that investing in early education is the cornerstone of national development.

“We cannot build a prosperous Liberia without a strong foundation,” he declared. “That foundation begins right here – in your classrooms, in your books, in your imagination.”

To the graduates, he offered this stirring reminder: “You are the stars of tomorrow, the leaders of the future, and the hope of your communities. If I could turn struggle into strength and challenge into change – so can you.”

The ceremony marked a full-circle moment for Wala, whose personal story of perseverance and achievement now serves as an inspiration for the next generation.

His message resonated not only with students but with educators and families in attendance, reinforcing the belief that education remains one of the most powerful tools for individual and national transformation.
