Monrovia, Liberia – In a move aimed at strengthening the country’s VIP protection and motorcade operations, the Liberia National Police (LNP) today graduated 26 newly trained Presidential Escort Motorbike and Motorcade Operatives.
The graduation ceremony, held at the LNP headquarters in Monrovia, marked a significant milestone in the police’s efforts to enhance professional escort services for the Presidency and other high-profile national duties.
According to Inspector General Gregory O.W. Coleman, the event marks a significant milestone in the history of the Liberia National Police.
IG Coleman said the new operatives underwent rigorous physical and tactical training, focusing on high-speed maneuvering, escort coordination, and motorcade security protocols.
He emphasized that this marks another significant achievement for the Liberia National Police a program that had not been implemented since 1990. He thanked the Government of Liberia for reviving and reintroducing it into the country.
“These officers have been trained to carry out one of the most sensitive and high-risk duties within our law enforcement structure ensuring the safe movement of the President and other key government officials,” the IG said.
The Liberia National Police continues to prioritize capacity-building and professional development as part of its broader mission to ensure national security and public safety.
