The broadcast, produced by the Press & Public Affairs Division of the Liberia National Police (LNP), highlighted several murder and homicide cases from three counties.
Margibi County:
Authorities have arrested Jeremiah Souh in connection with the fatal stabbing of Anthony Alieu in the community of Smell No Taste. The incident occurred on August 9, 2025, reportedly following a dispute over the use of a shared bathroom. Upon reaching the nearby clinic, Alieu was pronounced dead.
Maryland County:
Police are holding Dougbo and Friday Newton for the alleged beating death of 77-year-old Josephine Sieh in Gbaken Town. Preliminary reports suggest the elderly woman was attacked over accusations of witchcraft ~ a persistent and troubling issue in many communities.
River Gee County:
In Glaro Youbor Town, Samuel Nyenebay has been taken into custody after allegedly shooting Charles Godfrey during what was supposed to be a routine hunting trip. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Liberia National Police has urged the public to remain calm and continue cooperating with investigations as they seek justice in each of these cases.
