Gbarnga, Bong County — In a heartfelt message directed to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., Samuel B.N. Babajuah, a former representative candidate for Bong County’s Electoral District #3, has urged the President to consider Mr. John S. Morlu II for the crucial role of Chief of Staff, replacing the late Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Sylvester Grigsby. Babajuah emphasized the need for leadership that resonates with the ideals of integrity and dedication, qualities he believes Morlu embodies.
Babajuah opened his plea by expressing well wishes to President Boakai and acknowledging the significant responsibility of choosing key government officials. He noted, “The decision of who becomes your Chief of Staff or Minister of State is entirely yours,” underscoring the President’s autonomy in the appointment process.
In a recent verbal analysis conducted among ordinary citizens, Morlu consistently emerged as the preferred candidate for the Chief of Staff position. Although Babajuah admitted he does not know Morlu personally, he argued that selecting him could enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the administration. He stated, “Many of your ministers and heads of entities regard him with apprehension due to his unwavering integrity,” indicating that Morlu’s principles align with those of President Boakai.
Babajuah referenced past challenges faced by Morlu during the campaign period and initial appointments, suggesting that choosing him for the role could bring renewed energy and a shared vision for the country. “I am confident that John will bring energy and dedication to the role, with a shared vision of making Liberia great,” he asserted.
The former Representative candidate clarified that his endorsement of Morlu was made independently, stating, “I am not in contact with John or any of his associates. Everything I am writing here is entirely mine and I believe that it is in the vast majority of Liberians.”
As President Boakai continues to shape his administration, the call for Morlu as Chief of Staff reflects a larger sentiment among citizens advocating for leadership characterized by integrity and commitment to development. Babajuah concluded his message with gratitude to the President for his ongoing engagement with the public and commitment to Liberia’s future.
