Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County – August 27, 2025 – The Unity Party Grand Gedeh Chapter has announced the official opening of its newly rented county headquarters in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, set for Saturday, August 30, 2025.
According to a release issued Wednesday, the milestone is considered a major step toward strengthening the party’s presence and operations in Grand Gedeh and the southeastern region of Liberia.
The party said the achievement was made possible through the support of Hon. Neto Lighe Zarzar Sr., Commissioner General of the Liberia Maritime Authority, who played a pivotal role in securing the headquarters, overseeing renovation works, and funding feeding and other logistical needs for the opening program. Also credited is Hon. Retha Kai Massaquoi, Chairperson of the Grand Gedeh chapter, for her leadership in the process.
“The establishment of this headquarters will bring numerous benefits to our partisans, including job opportunities, scholarships, and other forms of empowerment,” the statement noted.
Leaders of the Unity Party’s mainstream, Youth Congress, Women Congress, and district structures are expected to attend the opening ceremony. The party also disclosed plans to host regular strategic meetings at the facility to mobilize and strengthen its membership base across the county.
The Unity Party extended an invitation to partisans, well-wishers, and the general public to join the celebration of what it described as a “significant milestone” in Zwedru on August 30.
