Bomi Lawmakers Dedicate New Bus Stop in Government Farm Community

Citizens of Bomi County’s Government Farm community on Friday, welcomed a new public facility as Senator Alex Jenekai Tyler and District #1 Representative J. Obediah Varney jointly dedicated a bus stop to serve commuters in the area.

The dedication, held on September 12, 2025, brought together local residents, community leaders, and county officials who praised the initiative as a step toward easing daily transportation challenges faced by citizens.

According to the organizers, the new bus stop is intended to provide shelter and convenience for passengers, especially students and market women who often endure long waits under the scorching sun or heavy rain.

In separate remarks, Senator Tyler and Representative Varney said the project reflects their commitment to improving basic infrastructure and community welfare in Bomi. They called on citizens to take ownership of the facility by maintaining it for long-term use.

The initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts by Bomi lawmakers to respond to grassroots concerns through small-scale but impactful community projects.
