LDEA Gets 15 Vehicles to Strengthen Anti-Drug Operations

The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has received a major logistical boost with the delivery of 15 vehicles from the government of Liberia to enhance its fight against the growing drug crisis in the country.

The fleet includes 12 Toyota Hilux pickups, two Toyota Land Cruisers, and one Toyota Fortuner, which will be deployed to strengthen the agency’s nationwide operations.

According to officials, the donation will significantly improve the LDEA’s mobility, response time, and capacity to extend its presence in communities heavily impacted by illicit drugs.

Government representatives at the handover reaffirmed their commitment to equipping law enforcement institutions to tackle drug trafficking and abuse, calling the move a decisive step toward building a safer and drug-free Liberia.

The provision of vehicles comes at a time when drug abuse and trafficking remain among Liberia’s most pressing security and public health challenges.

Authorities say the new resources will not only enhance enforcement but also boost confidence in the government’s broader anti-drug campaign.
