“Redirect Your Youthful Energies to Fight for Your Future,” Journalist Kangar Urges Young Margibians

KAKATA, Margibi County – Verity News senior reporter Emmanuel M. Kangar, Jr. has called on young people of Margibi County to redirect their youthful energy from political praise-singing to productive efforts that will secure their future.

Speaking as a special guest at the Kakata Intellectual Forum on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Journalist Kangar challenged young Margibians to rise above political manipulation and take responsibility for shaping the destiny of their county and country.

“We are still young and strong enough to fight for our future,” Kangar told the audience. “But instead of channeling our energy toward progress, we are using it to sing praises for politicians. Let’s redirect that energy and invest it in building our future.”

Acknowledging the economic hardship and unemployment challenges facing young people in Kakata, Kangar urged them not to allow poverty or frustration to make them vulnerable to political exploitation. “I know things are hard,” he said, “but we must stand up, refuse their crumbs, and rise to the occasion so that our leaders will do what is right — create quality education opportunities and be accountable to us.”

Kangar lamented that many young people have compromised their futures by accepting handouts from politicians. “We compromise our future too much; that’s why our lives remain the same,” he emphasized.

The fearless journalist announced plans to embark on a county-wide tour to engage young Margibians in conversations about leadership, accountability, and youth empowerment. “This is just the beginning,” he said. “I will reach every town and village in Margibi to speak with young people about the dangers of compromising our future to politicians.”

Kangar also used the occasion to call on fellow journalists to uphold professionalism and resist political influence in their work. “We, as journalists, can survive without political handouts,” he said. “What we need is to stay true to the ethics of journalism and serve the people with honesty and integrity.”

The event was attended by students, community leaders, and youth advocates, who commended Journalist Kangar for his bold and inspiring message to the young people of Margibi County.
