The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) is set to destroy a large consignment of confiscated narcotics today, Tuesday, November 11, 2025. According to the agency, the drugs slated for destruction were seized between September and October of this year during various operations across the country.
The public burning exercise will take place at Disco Hill, Lower Margibi County. The LDEA has invited members of the media, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to witness the event as part of efforts to promote transparency and public trust in the agency’s ongoing anti-drug campaign.
Authorities say the destruction of the narcotics is a continuation of the agency’s commitment to combating the trafficking, sale, and abuse of illegal drugs in Liberia.
LDEA officials are expected to provide details on the quantity and types of drugs being destroyed during the ceremony.
