Siakeh Foundation Pledges L$17,000 to Support ‘Inside Margibi’ Blog, Kangar Challenges Journalists to Do Away With Promoting Politicians

Kakata, Margibi County – The Siakeh Foundation has pledged an initial contribution of L$17,000 to support the operations of the newly launched Inside Margibi blog. The announcement was made on Saturday during the official launch ceremony held in Kakata City.

Journalist Emmanuel M. Kangar, Jr., representing the institution’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Thur Siakeh, presented the commitment on behalf of the Foundation. Kangar urged the blog’s management to uphold the principles of independent and ethical journalism as it begins its work in Margibi County.

Kangar cautioned media practitioners against favoring politicians, noting that such practices undermine the integrity of the profession. He encouraged the Inside Margibi team to remain committed to balanced reporting that reflects the realities of the county and the nation.

“Ethical journalism aligns with the vision of our CEO and the Siakeh Foundation,” Kangar said. “If you continue on the rightful path, this institution will give its fullest support.”

The launch program, which attracted journalists from within and outside Margibi, highlighted ongoing concerns about media credibility and the need for impartial reporting. Kangar emphasized that the Foundation’s financial contribution is intended to help the blog strengthen its operations and address future challenges.

The Siakeh Foundation’s CEO, Thur Siakeh, reaffirmed his institution’s commitment to promoting responsible journalism through continued support to emerging media platforms like Inside Margibi.
