Six-Month-Old Baby Reported Missing in Margibi County

Authorities in Margibi County are investigating the reported disappearance of a six-month-old baby girl, allegedly taken by her father from her residence in Barclay Farm.

The missing child has been identified as Beatrice Langar. According to preliminary reports, Beatrice was allegedly kidnapped by her father, Lester D. Langar, on Monday, January 19, 2026.

The incident reportedly occurred while the child was in his care at their Barclay Farm residence.

The child’s mother has been identified as Sarah Johnson. Family members raised alarm shortly after the incident, prompting an official report to be filed at the RIA Police Detachment in Margibi County.

Police authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that Mr. Langar is currently being sought in connection with the child’s disappearance. Law enforcement officials say all necessary efforts are being made to locate the missing infant and ensure her safe return.

Members of the public who may have seen the child or have any information regarding her whereabouts are urged to contact the nearest police station immediately. Information can also be shared by calling the child’s grandmother, Justina Charlie, on 0770-993-033.

Authorities stress that public cooperation is critical in helping to reunite the child with her family.
