River Gee Electoral District 2 Rep. Dismisses Chief of Office Staff Over Misconduct Claims

River Gee County | Jan. 27, 2026 | The Representative of electoral district 2, of River Gee County, Isaac Boy Choloplay Wou, has dismissed his Chief of Office Staff, S.T. Marcus Solkroe, over allegations of serious misconduct and abuse of office.

According to a formal dismissal letter from the Representative’s office, S.T Marcus Solkroe service was officially terminated effective January 31, 2026, following internal reviews and management decisions related to his conduct over the past few months.

The letter states that investigations found Solkroe responsible for gross abuse of opportunity, conflict of interest, and a serious breach of trust placed in him by the office.

It further alleged that he used his position for personal gain, actions said to be contrary to the ethical and professional standards expected of his role.

The Representative’s office explained that Solkroe’s actions violated core values such as integrity, accountability, transparency, and loyalty, which all staff members are required to uphold.

The office also noted that his conduct weakened confidence in leadership and exposed the institution to ethical, operational, and reputational risks.

The dismissal letter emphasized that despite being aware of office policies, codes of conduct, and relevant regulations, Solkroe failed to comply with these rules.

Due to the seriousness of the allegations, the office said it had no alternative but to end his service.

While expressing regret over the situation, the Representative’s office stressed that such behavior cannot be tolerated and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining ethical standards and protecting public trust.

Meanwhile, when contacted by Verity News, S.T Marcus Solkroe confirmed his departure as Chief of Office Staff in the office of Hon. Isaac Boy Choloplay Wou.

In a statement released on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Solkroe announced that his exit took immediate effect.

He stated that he remains committed to integrity, accountability, and transparency, and advised the public not to contact him regarding any matters related to the official duties or decisions of the lawmaker’s office.

Solkroe thanked Rep. Wou and the people of electoral district 2, for the opportunity to serve from January 2024 to January 2026, describing his tenure as one built on public trust and responsibility.

He added that his next steps would follow consultations with relevant stakeholders.

The dismissal marks an administrative change within the office of the River Gee County lawmaker, as the public awaits further clarification on future developments.
