Boakai First Lady’s Office Debunks “Fidelity Investment” Allegations

Monrovia, Liberia — The Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Liberia has firmly dismissed claims linking Her Excellency Madam Kartumu Yarta Boakai to a company allegedly known as “Fidelity Investment,” describing the reports as false, misleading, and malicious.

In an official statement released Wednesday, the First Lady’s Office said the allegations widely circulated in the Lott Carey Alumni chat room and other informal platforms are entirely fabricated and intended to misinform the public.

According to the statement, Madam Boakai has never invested in, discussed, partnered with, or held shares in any company operating under the name “Fidelity Investment,” nor any related entity. The office categorically rejected claims suggesting the existence of a shareholding certificate or financial interest connected to the First Lady, stressing that such documents are fictitious.

“This reckless spread of falsehoods by unscrupulous individuals and scammers is condemnable,” the statement declared, adding that some of those spreading the claims are falsely presenting themselves as informants or affiliates of the Office of the First Lady.

The office cautioned the public against engaging with or amplifying unverified information, urging citizens to exercise vigilance and seek confirmation from credible sources. For accurate and official information, the public was advised to contact the Media and Communications Section of the Office of the First Lady at the Executive Mansion.

The statement further clarified that all official activities, announcements, and updates from the First Lady’s Office are communicated exclusively through its verified Facebook page, “First Lady of the Republic of Liberia.” Any information circulated outside this official channel, the office warned, should be treated as unreliable.

The Office of the First Lady also emphasized that it reserves the right to pursue appropriate action against individuals or entities found deliberately spreading false and defamatory information intended to tarnish the image of the First Lady and the institution she represents.

The denial comes amid growing concerns over misinformation on social media and private messaging platforms, as public institutions continue to call for responsible communication and adherence to verified sources.
