The People Action Party (PAP) Political leader Saah H. Joseph, Senator of Montserrado County, has declared that the People Action Party would secure a commanding victory across the county if elections were held today, projecting wins in 12 of its 17 electoral districts.
Speaking Saturday at the party’s headquarters in Monrovia, Joseph expressed confidence in what he described as PAP’s expanding grassroots machinery and strategic mobilization efforts.
“If today was Election Day in Montserrado, we finish winning 12 out of the 17 electoral districts because I know how to win election,” Joseph told party supporters.
The Montserrado lawmaker, a leading figure within PAP, attributed the party’s projected strength to what he characterized as sustained community engagement and internal organizational development.
He said the party has established a “formidable structure” across key communities, positioning itself to compete effectively in upcoming legislative and presidential contests.
Montserrado County, Liberia’s most populous political subdivision is widely regarded as a decisive battleground in national elections, often shaping broader electoral outcomes.
Joseph emphasized that PAP’s immediate priority remains strengthening unity within its ranks while intensifying mobilization efforts at the grassroots level.
“Our structure is strong, and our people are ready,” he said, addressing supporters gathered at the headquarters. “2029 will be our time.”
The senator further pledged that PAP intends to mount a serious bid for national leadership in 2029, expressing optimism that the party’s platform aligns with voters seeking change and development.
While no official campaign season has begun, Joseph’s remarks signal early positioning ahead of Liberia’s next electoral cycle, as political parties begin consolidating support bases and refining strategies.
Many political pundits noted that the declarations of electoral dominance are common in pre-election periods, particularly in Montserrado, where competition among parties remains intense.
