The Political Leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander Cummings, has called on students across Liberia to take their education seriously, stressing that success is anchored on hard work, discipline, and consistency.
Speaking during a visit to the Seventh – day Adventist (SDA) School in Paynesville on Tuesday, April 14, 2036, Mr. Cummings encouraged students to remain focused on their academic pursuits, describing education as the most reliable pathway to personal and national development.
He reminded the students that they represent the future of Liberia and must therefore prepare themselves to assume leadership roles with diligence and purpose.
“Your determination must be rooted in service,” Cummings told the gathering. “Hard work, honesty, and integrity are not optional they are necessary ingredients for success.”
The ANC Political Leader, however, emphasized that individual effort alone is insufficient without the support of others.
He highlighted the importance of mentorship, guidance, and investment from those who have walked similar paths, noting that young people need strong support systems to fully realize their potential.
According to him, Liberia’s progress is directly tied to the preparedness of its younger generation. He urged the students to take advantage of every opportunity to learn, grow, and develop the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Mr Alexander Cummings’ visit forms part of his ongoing outreach initiatives aimed at inspiring young Liberians to adopt positive values and actively participate in the country’s growth and transformation.
