KAKATA, Margibi County – Former Margibi County District #4 Representative candidate and Chief Executive Officer of Family Brothers Company, Fred P. Weasah, over the weekend, joined hundreds of Muslim children in Kakata City to celebrate Ibrahim Day, a significant Islamic observance commemorating the faith, obedience, and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).
The celebration, held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, came days after Muslims around the world marked Ibrahim Day during the Eid al-Adha period. The event brought together more than 500 children from the Muslim community for a day of fellowship and celebration.
Speaking at the occasion, event organizer Musa praised Weasah for his continued support to the Islamic community and his commitment to promoting religious harmony.
According to Musa, Weasah has consistently identified with Muslim communities despite his strong ties with Christians, demonstrating his belief in unity and coexistence among Liberians of different faiths.
Representing Hon. Weasah at the gathering, Melvin Weasah assured attendees of the former representative candidate’s continued support for activities benefiting the Muslim community.
“Hon. Weasah is always happy to see the love that exists between Christians and Muslims in Liberia,” Melvin Weasah said, adding that he prays such harmony will continue to flourish across the country.
As part of the celebration, the children received packages containing assorted food items. The muslim kids expressed joy and appreciation as they received the gifts.
The event highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen interfaith relations and promote community engagement in Margibi County.
