Representative Prince Toles of Montserrado County Electoral District #8 has dismissed claims by opposition figures that the newly dedicated solar power utility farm was initiated by the administration of former President George Weah.
Responding to comments from CDC officials, including former Representative Moses Acarous Gray and CDC Chairman Janga Kowo, Toles argued that their claims would imply that several development projects undertaken in his district were also started by them.
“They’re coming to say that even the new coastal bus we just brought for our students, the two mini cars for driving school, the police station, other major infrastructure projects, empowerment programs, scholarships, and the four tricycles we purchased to support community clean-up activities were all initiated by them,” Toles said.
The lawmaker challenged the opposition to identify projects they initiated while serving in government, adding, “They should ask them which of the projects they initiated in Paris. Get a job, Book Jimmy.”
Toles also congratulated President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on the dedication of what he described as Liberia’s first-ever solar power utility farm, praising the project as a significant step toward expanding access to renewable energy in the country.
