ZWEDRU, Grand Gedeh County – Anger and frustration are mounting as the Zloryou and Kligbeh families prepare to stage a massive protest in Zwedru City on Thursday, demanding answers and justice over the mysterious disappearance of their two children who have been missing since May 21, 2026.
According to family members and preliminary investigations, the missing children, Ransford A. Zloryou and Geofred W. Kligbeh, reportedly left their community after being contacted by a man identified only as Chris Boduo , who allegedly instructed them to accompany him to purchase cocoa in the Tchien forest.
Since that day, the whereabouts of the two children remain unknown, leaving their families in distress and sparking growing concern among residents across the county.
Relatives say repeated efforts to locate the children have yielded no results, prompting them to organize a peaceful but massive street protest aimed at pressuring law enforcement authorities to intensify their investigation.
”We want answers. Our children left home and never returned. We cannot remain silent while their whereabouts remain unknown,” a family representative D Harness Tarpeh stated.
The families are calling on the Liberia National Police, local authorities, community leaders, and human rights organizations to urgently intervene and ensure that every effort is made to locate the missing children.
Residents have also expressed concern over the case, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the children’s disappearance and the role of the individual who reportedly took them to the cocoa farm area.
As tensions continue to rise, all eyes are now on security authorities to provide answers and restore confidence among worried citizens.
The planned protest is expected to attract family members, community residents, youth groups, and concerned citizens from across Zwedru and surrounding communities.
