Judge Orders Arrest of 15 Jurors, Sets Aside Tweah Acquittal

MONROVIA – Criminal Court “C” Judge, His Honor Ousman F. Feika, has ordered the immediate arrest of all 15 jurors who served in the corruption trial involving former Finance Minister Samuel D. Tweah and his co-defendants over allegations of jury tampering.

The judge’s decision follows concerns that the jurors have been allegedly compromised. As a result, the court has set aside the not-guilty verdict previously returned in favor of Tweah and the other defendants.

The arrest order marks a significant development in the high-profile case, as authorities are expected to investigate allegations that members of the jury were improperly influenced during the trial.

The court has yet to disclose who allegedly tampered with or bribed the jurors, while further proceedings are expected as the investigation continues.
