A Liberian national convicted of multiple child sexual abuse offenses in the United States has been deported to Liberia, according to the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In a statement, ICE identified the deportee as Tony P. Hill, saying he was removed from the United States last month following his criminal convictions.
According to the agency, Hill was convicted of aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties with a child under the age of 15, videotaping an undressed child, and possessing obscene material involving a child.
ICE said the deportation was carried out after an immigration judge ordered Hill removed from the United States based on his criminal record.
The agency did not immediately provide details regarding Hill’s arrival in Liberia or whether Liberian authorities have initiated any legal or monitoring measures following his deportation.
The deportation forms part of ICE’s ongoing efforts to remove non-U.S. citizens convicted of serious criminal offenses after they have completed the appropriate legal and immigration processes.
