MONROVIA – The Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) says it has uncovered more than 500 fake West African Examinations Council (WAEC) certificates and other fraudulent documents during the ongoing vetting process for its 2026 recruitment exercise.
In a press statement, the AFL said the nationwide vetting of qualified applicants began on July 5 and is expected to conclude on August 15, 2026. The military urged applicants to remain patient, noting that vetting teams will contact candidates and their listed references as part of the screening process.
The AFL warned that any applicant found submitting fake certificates or other fraudulent documents is automatically disqualified without notification.
The military said additional updates on the recruitment process will be provided as the exercise continues, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining integrity and transparency in the enlistment process.
