The Liberia National Police (LNP) has issued a public safety alert over the deteriorating condition of a portion of the main road from Monrovia toward Bong County.
According to the police, the affected area is around Kpakor Hill in Lower Bong County, where erosion has reportedly damaged the roadway and created a potential hazard for motorists and other road users.
The LNP is urging motorists approaching the affected section to exercise extreme caution, reduce their speed and remain vigilant while passing through the area.
The police warned that failure to observe safety precautions could increase the risk of road traffic crashes and possible casualties.
The public is also being encouraged to cooperate with relevant authorities and take all necessary precautions when using the affected roadway.
The notice was issued by the LNP Press and Public Affairs Division.
