Brace Institute of Technology has graduated 48 students from various professional certificate and diploma programs, challenging them to turn their skills into employment, entrepreneurship and meaningful impact.
The graduates were honored Saturday during the institution’s 9th commencement ceremony, following the completion of programs including Network Administration, Human Resource Management, Computer Hardware, QuickBooks, Advanced Excel and Computer Fundamentals.
Delivering the keynote address under the theme “From Certificate to Impact: Turning Knowledge into Opportunities,” Orphan Concern CEO Amos Hina-Sawboh urged graduates not to depend solely on certificates for employment.
“If employment opportunities do not exist, use the knowledge you have gained to create one,” Hina-Sawboh said.
He encouraged the graduates to embrace entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation while using their skills to address community challenges.
Brace CEO Prince Naho Williams Droh said the institution focuses on practical training aimed at preparing professionals to address real-world challenges.
“Brace Institute of Technology is established to develop professionals with practical knowledge that can help provide practical solutions to our real world,” Droh said.
Program Director Isaac M. Fatorma Jr. disclosed that students must maintain at least 80 percent attendance and participation to qualify for graduation, stressing the institution’s focus on competence and discipline.
Representing the graduating class, Maranda Blamo urged her colleagues to use their new skills to build careers, create opportunities and leave a lasting legacy.
The ceremony marked the transition of the 48 graduates from professional training into the workplace and entrepreneurial environment, with speakers emphasizing that the real value of a certificate lies in how effectively its holder applies the knowledge and skills acquired.
