The management of Global Tracking and Maritime Solutions (GTMS)Liberia Inc. has publicly rejected the appointment of two men to senior roles at the company, calling them impostors and warning customers and business partners not to deal with them.
In a statement issued today, the management of Global Tracking & Maritime Solutions Liberia Inc. said it had noted with concern the purported appointments of Presley S. Tenwah as General Manager-Liberia and Elvis D. Johnson as Public Relations Executive and Operations Manager.
According to the company, the appointments were made by Sahr H. W. Ngegba, who presents himself as a director of GTMS Liberia. The company says Mr. Ngegba has no such role. It says he does not appear in its corporate structure; staff register or list of authorized officers, and that he holds no position of any kind within the organization.
GTMS Liberia has also distanced itself from GTMS-UK, which it says has been wound up and is in liquidation in the United Kingdom. The Liberian company says it is neither a subsidiary of nor in partnership with the British firm, and that the two are entirely separate and distinct entities.
The company went further, describing the appointments as an attempt to mislead the public and to trade on GTMS Liberia’s name and reputation to shield the UK entity. It claims the British company is under investigation by UK authorities over alleged administrative failures and serious financial irregularities.
The company urged the public, customers and business partners not to transact business with Mr. Tenwah or Mr. Johnson in the name of GTMS Liberia. It said any dealings with the two men would not be recognized as binding on the company.
GTMS Liberia said it has instructed the Global Lead Counsel of AFDASA Global to begin civil and criminal proceedings against both men. It accuses them of falsely representing themselves as company officers, misleading the public, and causing significant operational disruption and reputational harm.
“We will pursue all available legal remedies to protect our name, our stakeholders, and the public,” the company said.
