House Speaker Koon Nagbe Nagbe Richard has disclosed that efforts are underway to resolve the issue of lawmakers’ unpaid benefits.
The Speaker met with Finance Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan to discuss the matter. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning in Monrovia.
Speaker Koon assured his coleagues that engagements with the Ministry will continue until the matter is settled.
It can be recalled that over 50 Representatives boycotted the first day of the 3rd quarter of the 2nd Session of the 55th National Legislature of Liberia on Friday, October 9, 2026, reportedly over a litany of alleged grievances.
