The Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) has dishonorably disrobed two soldiers who appeared in a viral video allegedly manhandling a woman.
The two men, now former service members, were presented to the public for the first time as the AFL chief of staff, Gen. Davidson F. Forleh, announced their dismissal. He also ordered the Liberia National Police to place them in handcuffs.
The chief of staff also ordered that the families of the disrobed soldiers be removed from AFL barracks. He directed that they be taken to the area around the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex so they could make their own way home.
Describing the two men as “bad apples” within the AFL, he made clear the military would not tolerate such conduct among its ranks.
