Prosecution wants life sentence for NSA agent Peter Bon Jallah as final arguments wrap up and sentencing set for 2:30 P.M.

This is a summary report from inside the Courtroom:

The 8-page pre-sentencing report was just read.

The prosecution and defense lawyers have presented their final arguments:

Defense Main and Final Argument: The defense counsel, in his arguments, stated that because testimonies from some community members during the pre-sentencing investigation disclosed that the defendant, Peter Bon Jallah, has no prior criminal record, on that basis, the allegations of sodomy, statutory rape, and kidnapping against his client are all lies.

Prosecution Main and Final Argument: The prosecution team, on the other hand, argued that from the investigation and with pieces of scientific evidence including the DNA results and initial medical reports, it’s prudent enough to sentence the defendant. He further went on to say that, under the law, the sentence for statutory rape is life imprisonment and that the court should go by the law.

The court’s final judgment will be delivered at 2:30 p.m. today.

Senior NSA Agent Peter Bon Jallah, 63, was convicted on October 23, 2026, of statutory rape and kidnapping involving a 16-year-old male victim.
