With a standing ovation, we venerate a lawyer with over 23 years of experience as an emblem of integrity and intelligence. Cllr. T. Negbalee Warner, a Cornell Law School alumnus (LL.M.), is an outstanding Liberian legal luminary of unblemished repute. His public and private service records are a testament of how excellence, hard work, and honest service can translate into success. With distinction, Cllr. Warner holds an LL.B. and a B.Sc. from Liberia’s oldest public university – U.L.
Why was he chosen?
Cllr. Warner has given back to his Country in many ways:
1. As a Defence Counsel for families of deceased search and rescue maritime cadets, Cllr. Warner won a US$3 million case against LiMA on behalf of affected families.
He drafted these laws:
-The Act establishing the Good Governance Commission.
-The Act establishing the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission.
-The Act establishing LEITI.
-The Liberia Freedom of Information Act.
-The Commercial Court Act.
-The Land Rights Act.
-The Liberia Commercial Code.
2. Cllr. Warner has served as Executive Director of LEITI and Dean of Liberia’s only Law School – The Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law.
3.The counselor has been a faculty member of LAW since 2008.
4. He is serving and has served on different boards including Eco-Bank Liberia, CENTAL, LPRC, Access Bank Liberia Limited, OSIWA, EITI, CSquared Liberia LLC, and Activa International Insurance Company.
5. As a Senior Partner of Heritage Partners and Associates (HPA), Warner has mentored and continues to inspire up-and-coming Liberian Lawyers.
6.The counselor was admitted as a member of The Liberian Bar in 2000 and The New York Bar in 2003.
