Pleebo, Maryland County- A significant raid by Joint Security in Maryland County’s Electoral District 2 has resulted in the seizure of various illegal substances from a group of disadvantaged youth in Pleebo City.
The operation, which took place on Monday, August 12, 2024, involved a comprehensive security search that culminated in the raiding and burning of areas occupied by the youth, known locally as Green Forest.
The initiative was spearheaded by District #2 Commander of the Liberia National Police, Jmax Roberts.
Among the items confiscated were 23 pieces of Kush, 11 pieces of Italian white, and 5 pieces of waste slide, along with other unspecified substances.
The seized items have been handed over to the Maryland chapter of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency in Harper for further processing.
The operation also led to the arrest of 11 individuals, comprising 7 boys and 4 girls.
These individuals are currently in police custody at the Pleebo Police Depot, where they await further investigations.
The Joint Security’ decisive actions underline their commitment to combating the proliferation of illegal drugs and maintaining public safety in Maryland County.
