AREPT Arrests Broh and Williams Over Allegations of corruption

Monrovia, June 26, 2025 – In a developing story, the Assets Recovery Team has arrested former Director General of the General Services Agency (GSA), Mary T. Broh, and former Executive Director of the National Disaster Management Agency, Henry O. Williams.

The arrests took place earlier this morning in Monrovia as part of an ongoing probe into alleged financial and administrative irregularities during their respective tenures. On top of other allegations, Broh and Williams stand accused of diverting a huge consignment of rice donated by Saudi Arabia. AREPT said it has 15 more arrests to make any time soon.

The Authorities of AREPT have not yet disclosed specific charges against Broh and Williams, but sources close to the investigation confided on this paper that the arrests are linked to ongoing government efforts to recover misappropriated state assets and hold past officials accountable under President Joseph Boakai’s anti-corruption drive.

Both former officials are being held for questioning as investigators continue their inquiries.
