After many years in the United States of America, the Award-Winning Gospel Musician, Ambassador Marron Dwah Cassell, is set to lead the nation into worship at a grand musical concert on November 29, 2025 at the SKD Sports Complex.
The event, titled “Arise Liberia”, is set to bring together top Liberian entertainers for an evening of spiritual uplift and celebration of national pride.
Ambassador Marron Cassell has been abroad for years, dedicating herself to gospel ministry and cultural outreach. Now, she returns to Liberia with renewed energy and purpose- and this concert marks her long‑awaited homecoming. In her absence, she has continued to build a reputation as one of Liberia’s most enduring gospel voices.
Her 2012 album Best of Marron Cassell Gospel gathered 32 songs and spanned more than three hours of music.
Her patriotic gospel singles include All Hail Liberia, which adds to her catalogue of national‑theme gospel songs.
One of her earlier works, the song with the line “Liberiaaaa, sweet land of liberty… you will rise, you will shine…” became widely known as a counter narrative of hope during Liberia’s post‑war period.
Her music has been described as “prophetic” and emotionally resonant with Liberians during times of strife.
Among her honours: in 2022 she was recognised in Philadelphia, USA, as one of the Liberian diaspora figures honoured for cultural contributions — the citation named her as a “well‑known Gospel artist” whose ministry spans both America and Liberia.

This event comes at a moment when Liberia is re‑examining its identity, its faith heritage and its cultural voice. Ambassador Cassell’s return highlights the intersection of gospel ministry, national pride and cultural revival. The title “Arise Liberia” signals ambition: to encourage the nation to rise in faith, creativity and national cohesion.
Her personal story, traversing ministry, expatriation, cultural outreach and return, mirrors a broader story of Liberia’s own journey of challenge and resurgence. The concert thus becomes more than entertainment; it becomes a rallying point.
For fans of gospel music and cultural events, this concert presents a rare chance to witness Ambassador Cassell live in Liberia after a period away. It also opens up potential for new collaborations, newer recordings and revitalized gospel ministry at home. Observers will be watching closely to see how this event shapes her renewed presence in Liberia.
As Ambassador Marron Cassell leads the nation in song and spirit, Liberians are invited to “arise”- in their faith, in their creative expression, and in their national life.
