In a Facebook post on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Mulbah Morlu, Chairman of Solidarity and Trust for a New Day (STAND), announced an urgent mass meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
The meeting will take place at STAND’s National Headquarters in Congo Town and aims to rally organizers, participants, collaborators, supporters, and well-wishers of the historic “Enough is Enough” protest held on July 17.
According to Morlu, the meeting is a critical step in finalizing preparations for the upcoming “Thank You” People’s Event, slated for August 4.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum and unity in the face of what he described as President Joseph Boakai’s continued arrogance and disregard for the voices of ordinary Liberians.
Calling for “militant defiance and unbreakable unity,” Morlu expressed confidence that a nonviolent revolution could pressure the government to respond meaningfully to citizens’ demands.
“We will bring them to their knees through the fire of mass resistance and civil disobedience,” he declared. “And we will not stop until the people’s demands are met.”
Underscoring the gravity of the current political moment, Morlu warned that the administration’s failure to engage with the people’s grievances could threaten its grip on power.
His closing message was unequivocal: “No retreat. No surrender. Lead or LEAVE! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”
