Speaking to Verity News this evening on conditions of anonymity, two passengers who travelled with the Pan African Airline, ASKY Airlines, explained their horrible ordeal.
On September 12, 2025, ASKY Flight 20 (Aircraft Type: Boeing 737-800, Twin-jet, B738) departed Lomé, Togo for Accra, Ghana.
According to two passengers onboard, the flight experienced a serious in-air incident when one of its engines reportedly failed.
“The plane was shaking in the air for about 15 minutes. Everyone thought it was a turbulence,” one of the passengers who is a Liberian told Verity News.
“Only after landing we were told by the crew that one of the engines had failed. That flight is a disaster waiting to happen. The Liberian government has to now demand stringent measures aimed at routine scrutiny and safety standards. It was a terrible experience for us.”
The flight log confirms that ASKY 20 took off from Lomé at 2:46 p.m. GMT and landed in Accra at 3:19 p.m. GMT on September 12, 2025, arriving 22 minutes behind schedule.
Passengers described the experience as scary, with many fearing for their lives during the ordeal.
