Grand Bassa [August 28, 2025]— Senator Gbehzohngar Findley has issued a sharp response to Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence after she accused him, Hon. James Duen, and County Council Chair Nancy Bryant of being the masterminds behind what she called the “BM Speed fraud” involving the Steelfort Iron Ore Tailings deal.
“From another background, let me say this clearly — Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence is a liar. She lies all the time,” Findley said, rejecting the claims during a media engagement in Buchanan.
Pro-Temp Nyonblee made the accusations earlier today on the Ableejay Media Dumboy Show, alleging that the trio worked to fast-track a questionable agreement with Steelfort, bypassing key procedures and community interest.
The Steelfort deal, which involves the reprocessing of iron ore tailings in Grand Bassa, has stirred controversy in recent weeks, with growing calls for an independent investigation.
Representative Duen and Madam Bryant have not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
