ZWEDRU, Grand Gedeh County — A peculiar incident unfolded today at the Gate One Checkpoint in Zwedru, where a man dressed as a woman, reportedly a Fula woman, was apprehended after refusing to comply with authorities for an inspection. The individual was attempting to travel from Maryland to Monrovia.
Initially presenting as a woman, the suspect’s refusal to undergo the standard inspection raised immediate suspicion among officers.
A subsequent investigation led to the revelation of the individual’s true identity. Authorities called in a female officer from the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) to conduct a thorough search, which confirmed that the person was a man in disguise.
The motives behind the man’s decision to dress as a woman and attempt to bypass the checkpoint remain a mystery. Authorities are currently conducting further inquiries into the matter to determine the reason for the unusual behavior and evasion attempt.
The incident has reportedly left residents of Zwedru both shocked and puzzled by the bizarre nature of the man’s actions.
