ZWEDRU, Grand Gedeh – The Liberia National Police (LNP) in Grand Gedeh County has charged and forwarded to the Zwedru City Magisterial Court several Burkinabè nationals accused of multiple crimes, including criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, and criminal facilitation.

The incident occurred on August 3, 2025, in the Niko Forest, B’hai Chiefdom, where two groups of Burkinabè clashed over land ownership. The groups, led by Barkpin Noufou from the Gussie tribe and Isiaka Sawadogo from the Mossi tribe, engaged in a violent fight that resulted in severe injuries to Isiaka.
