Brutal Knife Attack in Chicken Soup Factory Community; Hospitalized Young Woman Cries Out for Justice

A young woman, Amelia Bondo, is currently hospitalized with severe injuries after a violent altercation involving her and two other women allegedly armed with knives and razor blades. The attack reportedly took place in the Chicken Soup Factory Community and has since sparked public concern and outrage over justice and police accountability.

According to the victim, Amelia Bondo, the confrontation began after she was accused of being inattentive while babysitting an 8-month-old child. An elderly neighbor reportedly warned the child’s mother of not leaving the child with her. After the advice, Amelia began to shout at the girl (the child that lives with her), something Salomie Weah understood differently and began to shout back with “insults”.

Tenneh Sackie, the mother of Salomie, later came home and was informed of her daughter’s behavior. Soon, it later degenerated into a Tenneh and Salomie versus Amelia Bondo confrontation, which turned chaotic.

I told her I wasn’t talking to her, but she continued cussing,” Amelia recalled from her medical bed at Ma Vick Clinic while speaking to this paper. “When her mother came, I explained what happened and she apologized. But later Salomie came back outside and attacked me with a knife and a razor blade. I lost consciousness and woke up in the clinic.”

Photographs obtained by Verity Newspaper show deep and bloody gashes on Amelia’s legs, arms, and other parts of her body, allegedly consistent with wounds from sharp objects.

Amelia’s boyfriend, Benjamin Reayah, reported the incident to authorities at the Zone #4 Police Station in the Chicken Soup Factory Community. According to him, both Tenneh Sackie and Salomie Weah were briefly detained. However, Reayah alleges that Salomie’s father, identified as Alexander Weah, an officer of the Executive Protection Service (EPS), intervened and allegedly used his influence to have them released.

“Despite carrying the case to police and even going to central headquarters, we haven’t received justice,” Benjamin told Verity News while expressing disappointment in the criminal justice system. “She is in pain and they’re walking free. We’re pleading with the authorities to act.”

Amelia remains in critical condition and is calling on the government, human rights groups, and the public to help her seek justice.

“I’m in the hospital with pain, and I don’t know where the two of them are. They have been released after inflicting severe wounds on me. They took advantage of me. I have no one to fight for me. My people are pushing for justice, but nothing is happening. I am crying out for justice,” she said to Verity News in tears.

This incident has raised broader concerns in the community about accountability, the abuse of authority by those in power, and the urgent need for fair justice.

Verity News made efforts to hear from the Weah family on the matter but to no avail. Eyewitnesses have confirmed over 90% of the victim’s claim against the Weah family.

Investigation continues.
