There appears to be deepening rift within the Opposition Congress for Democratic Change. Party faithful are beginning to publicly speak out and perhaps question decisions made by the party, sending a public signal of internal bickering.
The man who was entrusted to propagate CDC’s campaign messages in 2023, Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala, is one of those speaking out and questioning the party. In his latest Facebook post, Gbala insinuates that Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, a longtime stalwart of the CDC, was sacrificed for ex-Speaker Fonati Koffa.
Gbala, in his post, implies that said decision by the CDC has politically sabotaged it. “What’s on my mind? Did our party, the CDC, politically sabotage itself by sacrificing Fallah for Kofa,” Gbala asked?
With Fallah and former Senatorial Candidate Moses Kollie declaring full support for the UP-led Government, political pundits are left to wonder what would be CDC next move in terms of reconsolidating its political base ahead of a crucial 2029 election.
