Monrovia – Opposition politician and CMC Political Leader, Hon. Musa Hassan Bility, has leveled serious allegations against Senator Emmanuel Nuquay, accusing him of misappropriating US$7.5 million while serving as Chairman of the Senate Public Accounts Committee.
Speaking live on The Closing Argument, Bility cited a recent Central Bank of Liberia report as evidence of what he described as gross financial misconduct.
“Hon. Emmanuel Nuquay, while serving as chairman on public accounts, took away US$7.5 million from the Liberian government,” Bility asserted, adding: “Who approaches me and my business to dictate what I should do, when you are the one stealing from business people? After you failed to extract money from me, you now seek to fight me politically but you have been stealing money.”
Bility’s remarks have stirred fresh debate around transparency and accountability within the Liberian Senate, particularly as lawmakers face mounting public pressure to address corruption allegations.
The Central Bank report, referenced by Bility, is expected to spark further scrutiny and could intensify calls for legislative integrity and oversight reforms.
