The Secretary General of the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), Wilfred J.S. Bangura, II, has officially resigned from his position and membership in the party with immediate effect.
In a formal communication addressed to National Chairman James M.V. Yougie, Bangura stated that his decision was driven by the need to realign with his personal political values. He emphasized that the move was made after careful consideration of his principles and future direction.
Bangura, who played a key role as an incorporator of the CMC, reflected on his time within the party, noting that the relationships built during the formative stages of the movement would endure beyond his departure.
He expressed appreciation to the party’s leadership and members for the opportunity to serve, and voiced hope that the CMC would remain committed to its vision of promoting a more prosperous, equitable, and just society.
Bangura’s resignation marks a significant development within the party as it continues to shape its political trajectory.
