CMC Submits Bridge Design and Documents to Public Works Ministry for Bong County Project

Monrovia, Liberia — The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) has officially submitted the technical design, blueprint and documents for a proposed bridge construction project in Bong County to the Ministry of Public Works.

In a formal communication addressed to Minister Roland Lavfette Giddings, CMC National Chairman James M. Woum confirmed that the submission follows a request from residents of Bong County District #3, conveyed through their elected representative, Hon. J. Marvin Cole, Vice Chair for Operations for the Citizens Movement for Change.

The bridge, intended to connect key communities within Gbarnga City, over the major Jor River, represents a significant infrastructure intervention in the region.

“As National Chairman of the CMC, it is my duty to inform you that we received a request from the people of Bong County, particularly in District #3, through their elected Representative, Hon. J. Marvin Cole, to assist them with a bridge project,” Woum wrote.

He emphasized CMC’s commitment to contributing to Liberia’s infrastructural development while ensuring compliance with all government regulations and standards.

“While we have a strong desire to contribute to Liberia’s infrastructural development and community intervention, we are inclined to do so in line with government regulations across all sectors to ensure full compliance,” the letter stated.

Woum reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to upholding the rule of law and working collaboratively with the Ministry of Public Works and other government entities to effectuate its project.

The technical design documents were enclosed for the Ministry’s review and approval, with the CMC expressing eagerness to move forward with the project in partnership with the government.

“We look forward to working with the Ministry to fulfill our promise to the people of Bong County,” the letter concluded.

The Citizens Movement for Change operates with the motto “By the people, For the people” and positions itself as a community-driven initiative aimed at addressing pressing development needs across Liberia.
