Conflict Erupts as Deputy Community Police Commander Allegedly Wounded by a Motorcyclist

By Hogkins Tokpah,

Tensions escalated on Sunday night in ED#4, Grand Bassa County as Deputy Community Police Commander, Commander Gabriel Bravo, allegedly wounded by motorcyclist while attempting to mediate a dispute between law enforcement officers and cyclists.

The incident unfolded as Bravo intervened in a heated confrontation between the Deputy LDEA Commander and the motorcyclists. It was during this intervention that a motorcyclist, known only as Namuyan, reportedly hurled a rock at Bravo, causing injury, before swiftly fleeing the scene. Authorities are currently on the hunt for Namuyan and the others involved in the attack.

The local community has been left in shock by the violent situation, with concerns growing over the strained relations between law enforcement agencies and motorcycle riders in the area. The cyclists union has remained silent on the matter, further fueling the uncertainty surrounding the incident.

Bravo has been transported to a medical facility for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries as investigations into the altercation continue. Efforts are underway to restore peace and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the attack.

As tensions remain high in ED#4, residents are urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities in bringing those involved in the incident to justice. Updates on this developing story will be provided as details emerge.

However, officials of the cyclist union are yet to make an official statement pertaining to the matter.
