Paynesville, Liberia – The Paynesville City Magisterial Court has summoned Eugene L. Fahngon, Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), to appear before Stipendiary Magistrate Cllr. William G. Saygah on February 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
The summon follows a complaint filed by Fatmata Mansaray, who alleges that Fahngon has failed to provide financial support for their child, Eugene Larmie Fahngon Jr., since 2023. According to court documents obtained by Verity News, Mansaray claims she has faced financial hardship due to Fahngon’s alleged neglect and that he has threatened legal retaliation if she pursues the matter.

The court has scheduled a conference in an attempt to resolve the dispute without litigation. Magistrate Saygah has stressed the importance of Fahngon’s attendance, urging him to comply with the order.
Fahngon’s position as head of LBS, a state-owned broadcaster, has amplified public interest in the case. His alleged failure to meet child support obligations has raised concerns about accountability and responsibility among public officials.
Attempts to reach Fahngon for comment were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Mansaray remains hopeful that the court’s intervention will lead to a just outcome.
