The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has announced that the First Judicial Circuit, Criminal Court “C” for Montserrado County has issued an Indictment Writ of Arrest against two officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Supply Services (MCSS) following action by a duly empanelled Grand Jury.
According to a public notice issued by the LACC, the writ of arrest was issued on December 30, 2025, under the hand and seal of the Honorable Court, based on an indictment returned by the Grand Jury in accordance with Liberian law.
The defendants named in the indictment are Mr. Kabineh Keita, an Insurance Broker of the MCSS, and Madam Sontia Dangan, Director for Curriculum Development and Instruction at the MCSS.
The two officials are facing multiple criminal charges, including money laundering, bribery, and criminal conspiracy, the Commission disclosed.
The LACC further confirmed that both defendants have already been taken into custody and are currently under the jurisdiction of Criminal Court “C” in Montserrado County, in keeping with due process requirements.
In its statement, the Commission said it is working closely with the Court to ensure that the accused persons are afforded a speedy, fair, and transparent trial, consistent with the rule of law.

Reaffirming its institutional mandate, the LACC stressed its commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service, while urging members of the public and the media to allow the judicial process to proceed without interference or undue speculation.
The case is the latest in a series of anti-corruption actions undertaken by the Commission as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen accountability within public institutions.
