Critical Medical Emergency, Urgent Plea to Help a 35-Year-Old Woman

In a deeply distressing situation, 35-year-old Teta Young is urgently seeking advanced medical care as she battles critical health conditions.

Teta, who gave birth to twins via C-section in 2023, is currently in a perilous state at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital.

What was meant to be a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare for Teta.

Following her initial surgery in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, complications began to arise.

Teta’s condition deteriorated significantly, leading to severe abdominal swelling, which necessitated a second surgery.

Unfortunately, despite the medical interventions, her condition worsened further, resulting in swollen legs and paralysis of her right arm.

Teta is currently enduring severe pain and agony as she struggles to lie down.

She is using a urinary tube, wearing pampers, and managing all her bodily needs herself.

The 35-year-old’s situation has attracted the immediate attention of the U.S.-based NGO, “Sister With Impact,” which has generously provided an initial contribution of US$200.00 towards Teta’s laboratory and medical bills.

According to the NGO, their primary goal is to see Teta healthy and back on her feet.

The group is also rallying support in the United States to fly Teta abroad for advanced medical treatment.

Teta’s mother couldn’t stop thanking the group for coming to her daughter’s aid.

She extolled the group for its meaningful and timely intervention.

However, this initial support from “Sister With Impact” is insufficient to cover the escalating costs of Teta’s treatment.

Adding to the situation, Teta’s mother, Ma-Matilda Nyanti, has been left to bear the financial burden alone.

According to Madam Nyanti, Teta’s partner, a Nigerian national, absconded with over 85,000 Liberian dollars, purportedly for medical expenses that were sent to him by Teta’s single mother, leaving the elderly widow to manage the overwhelming costs.

Ma-Matilda is now desperately seeking additional financial assistance for advanced treatment for her daughter and to care for Teta’s two children, who are currently in her custody.

Teta’s mother is appealing to the public and humanitarian organizations for any financial aid to save her daughter’s life.

Those wishing to help Teta Young can contact her mother directly at 0880404790.
